Our History
The ELLAS Shop has a history of more than 55 years. It started in Omonia in 1963 by Ioannis Stamatopoulos. In 1987, Pelagia Stamatopoulou found the company Klironomoi I. Stamatopoulou as a continuation.
In 1994 Hellas Import CO. A new division, of the existing company, was created with the main aim of taking import initiatives mainly from the USA and the EU.
The company G. & E. Stamatopoulou OE. is founded in 2010 as a continuation of the history of its founders, with two retail stores and with a wide development in imports and retail sales.
Today, in 2021, the new company Georgios Ioan. Stamatopoulos continues the tradition.
The HELLAS Shop is located in the center of Athens in Omonia square at the very central part of the city, giving Athenians the pleasure to come in contact with objects of collection and use.
