AXIS Lock
The genuine Benchmade AXIS® Lock mechanism attracts attention and wins fans all the time. It is a 100% ambidextrous mechanism. It works by moving a hardened steel bar back and forth in a specially designed slot located between the two metal plates of the handle. Two O-shaped springs bring the bar to the front position. The steel bar, due to its inertia, locks the blade when it is in the open position.
